Fishing on Father's Day
In Rhode Island saltwater fishing is free but you need a license to fish in fresh water. And for Father's Day, I received a fishing license -- my first!
So on Sunday afternoon I took the three older kids back to Salt Pond since it's so close to home. The rain was spitting down, but we put in about two hours anyway.
Here's the only person who caught anything, posing with the first of her two sunfish:
The worms ran out after maybe an hour: my sons must be the most hated boys in Wormdom. Here is an early experiment in pursuing vegtarian fish:
