Picking apples
We finally got out for the year's only all-family apple-picking trip. We went to Jaswells Farm (www.jaswellsfarm.com) in Smithfield in the afternoon, and the day was beautifully sunny.
The baby really loved her first apple, even though she could only kind of gum it:
Finally someone else can help lifting up the short ones to reach the high apples:

And finally, the whole family heading home with a few bags of Red Delicious that were so dark and ripe they looked purple:
