Movie night

Auntie Katie & Uncle Chris and the kids sent us a Movie Night Package for Christmas this year, so we did Family Movie Night on Dec. 29, 2005.

First, we popped the popcorn and put it in the approved blue bowl:

Then we made everyone something good to eat (though the baby got water) and we served the popcorn (though, again, the baby got gypped by being supplied with Goldfish crackers). We folded out the queen-size hide-a-bed in the living room couch for Extra Lazy Comfort, and got ready to pop in the Veggie Tales DVD, "Minnesota Cuke."

The movie was well received by all three kids, though the baby got a little distracted near the end and settled for endlessly sliding off the front of the bed, running past the TV, and climbing up the side again. (Say, 15 minutes of this.) Then we were convinced to put in a Dora The Explorer DVD, and there was dancing which delayed bedtime.

Next time, more popcorn and less Dora, and we'll have a recipe for success. Thanks, Johnstons!
